i got 2 questions and i hope to get an answer
First: this
how do i get that +/- thing away 
then how to get the nicknames in a colour for example blue

Right-click on Miranda's tray icon>Settings>On the left side choose "Text in list" (usually you must scroll down), and choose a color for "Normal contacts" or "standard contacts"..hope it helps, don't know if we have the same version, but settings are similar.

In the latest Miranda, go to Contact List > Row Items > Icon.
Simply check " Hide groups icon " 
|
