iTunes account without a credit card?

I want to make an iTunes account but without giving out an credit card information. I don't have a gift card either. Is there any possible way to make one without giving it out? Perhaps there is some site that gives out codes?

EDIT: Sorry, couldn't find anything. I signed up a long time ago, and I didn't have to enter any money details, because all I wanted was podcasts & album art. Maybe google it?

i heard you can use a giftcard to create an account.

Sign up to AOL (free) and you should just be able to use the username happy

You can't use your aol account without adding a credit card first. Anyways, I figured it out.

Go to Starbucks, pick up one of those song of the day cards and the register and you get a free itunes account with no credit card wink

but unfortunately here in Australia, with the closing of 28/38 (I think) stores in NSW, I'd say Starbucks is getting a bit scarce here. confused
