Stepping down from Head Admin

Subject: Stepping down from Head Admin August 26th 2008, 5:29 pm

Might come as a shock to all of you, but I'm officially stepping down from the main admin position. This does not mean I'm leaving the site, I just do not want to have the main admin job anymore. confused

I'll be more of a moderator with admin cp access for emergencies. I'll be announcing my pick for the new head admin soon this week. If you would like to be one of the people considered, do not hesitate to send me a PM with a reason why you would be good at the job. No offense to anyone, but right now the list for possible picks is pretty low - so if you're interested, even if you're at member level PM me!

The person I'm looking for will need to have time to constantly check on the site - to fix issues like the one we had today with the images, make new ideas, advertise the site and update the sites theme/look and coordinate with all of the other staff members to keep the site neatly organized and clean of spam. The person must have previous experience with either being a head moderator or administrator on another forum.

I also will not have the time to keep checking on the site all of the time, things are changing for me and I will have much less time from now on.

Anyway, i am surprised to see you stepping down on this, you are the founder i see but it doesn't look like you are all that busy. But ok then. Have fun and all that, i hope to see you around the site still and just as much, if you can.

i dunno what to say... but i mean you can still just be an admin... as you are a person who knows the site and a person for support of the forum.
i understand people's lives change and you get busy. You could also just take a leave of absence from being head admin and when you get the time again, you step up to your position. Either way I'm sure everyone still understand you are the founder and will always be.

So do what you must, I'm just glad that you're not leaving for good, and glad that you realize that you don't need to leave for good. thumbs up

With me, I remember you asking me howcome I wasn't on as much anymore... Well like I mentioned in the activity thread, it's a busy time for a lot of people. But we are all still dedicated to the success of GalaxyGui. wink

Kind of saddened by the news sad

I had grown very fond of this place.
I think you should be commended for all the work you did.
You created a fun & confortable atmosphere and made each one of us feel welcomed.
That is something you can't say about too many forums.
You were always looking for ways to better GalaxyGui.
I wish you wouldn't be stepping down but I understand how time consuming this could be.

Ahh, thats a shame, I've only been here a short time, and you've been a cracking admin, lets hope the new guy has what it takes to keep up with the quality. He/she sure does have big shoes to fill!
