[Tutorial] GsPhone (iPhone & iPod Touch GBA emulator)

Ok so the new Gsphone was released today for the firmware 2.0 so i thought i'd make i guide on how to install it and play games... (This will require a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch)

1. First of all get the gsphone application from Cydia on the device. It will be on the ZodTTD.com Source.

2. Now you will have the gsphone app on your springboard. Tap it and there will be a pop-up for a donation that will only come up on the first run, then press continue on the top to get past the Advertisment it will say that there are no ROM files...

3. So exit that and get to a computer to find some ROM files which i can't link to because they're technically illegal so google it.

4. Once you have some ROM files you will have to SSH them to the device using an FTP program (i use smartftp) you will also need Open SSH application from Cydia which lets you access the root folders.

5. Put the ROM files in the var/mobile/media/ROMs/GBA directory that should already be there.

6. You will also need a GBA bios file which you can find on google.

7. The BIOS file goes into var/stash/applications/gsphone folder

8. Go back to you device and go back to GsPhone and your ROMs should all be in there and working. happy

You'll need to google it

please unlink the bios. its illegal if you dont own a legit GBA wink

I got a DS bios, can it play DS games? Haha...

no it cant, although there are some good DS emulators out there. Maybe if you donate to ZodTT he might port a DS emulator wink

just a question ... would GBA bios for Visual boy advance (for pc) work with this emulator ?

yes, its it is a GBA or GB bios it will work wink

strange thing tho, i never needed a BIOS, just thought about that xD

very usefull tutorial.. already playing pokemon ruby xD AHAH

it looks like it does use too much ram, and it slows down the iphone, at least some parts sound choppy :\

Yeah i does slow it down and big games are choppy, but Tekken advance for the iphone plays awesome so i'm happy!

Not sure what you mean by a digital watch lockscreen thing...?

nevermind, it was some app i saw in some screenshot of the lockscreen somebody posted here i think :\ .. it consisted in a flipping digit watch
