I personally use msn plus, but I'm getting sick of it.
Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

I use Messenger 8.5 with Plus! Live. Tried Miranda, but couldn't get my head around the plug-ins and sknning and it was all very confusing for one of small brain

No kiddin'? I had a very similar problem.
The problem I have with msn, is that I find it to chunky, in terms of window sizes etc.
What skin are you using?

Yeah, I get what you mean by 'chunky' :/
I'm using Windows Aero Messenger simply 'cause it's the most usable and customizable.

pidgin. best for linux. Actually.. other than the KDE one that looks like crap, i think its the only advanced one! i love it personally i use it on my windows computers too. I use Meebo at school and at friends houses though. excellent web app
