Get a USB thumbstick if you don't have one already, Vista can use a thing called Windows ReadyBoost, it uses up the space available on your USB drive to speed up the system. It works!!

I have a 2GB USB drive and it makes my comp SOOOO much faster, just plug it in, find it under My Computer, right click on it and press properties, and you'll find it smile

but dont take it as making it like more RAM tho, its just more swap space wink disable all GUI effects and delete all the bloatware and uneeded drivers that come with vista (C:/WINDOWS/inf) do some kernel editing and mostly a lot of registry entries to speed up response time. If u dont want to give u aero then just disable window transparancies and all those fancy fading effects wink

Ok, if you don't wanna risk screwing up something, don't edit the registry or delete anything in the inf folder lol. If you don't have any experience in doing such things, don't screw up your sisters laptop tongue
