We've been having a secret mac forum that was supposed to come out this week called "iCustomizeMyMac." Since I've noticed dramatic drops in activity @ Galaxy GUI and more people than ever on macs, ive been thinking Galaxy GUI should lose it's name and become a mac FOCUSED community. We would have everything for macs, as well as a windows section for skins and apps for windows and such.
What do you think? Don't go hard on me... think about this and the future on this community as more and more people switch from customizing their windows desks to an actual mac

I don't really think turning this into a mac forum would be such a great idea. I mean, most people here have pc's, even though mac users are climbing. I think this forum should just be divided into two sections, one for mac, one for pc's.
fair for every user, and easier to maintain than 2 separate forums.

wake up guys the drop of activities is normal, school as started again and they won't always be new member, we are a limited community they will not always be 10 new deskmoders in like a week this stuff take time, plus in the Christmas season it will be back to normal just give it some time.

Please read though: I'm completely shocked, I thought we had discussed this when we initially started iCMM and collectively decided that it wasn't gonna happen like that. Did you guys talk about this when I got off AIM? I don't think we should integrate the forums, "iCustomizeMyMac" is called that for a reason. I think what we've done pretty good so far and the ideas that were proposed when we talked a few days ago are good ones for iCMM, and I can see that community growing in due time. Windows will always be around and some people just don't care for Mac, so GGUI to iCMM is not what we need to do. And from what I've seen in other forums, I believe that Mac communities do better as a Mac only community, not a mac community with a windows section. And I don' think it's gonna help GGUI. GalaxyGUI is a big name in customizing forums right now, and Jowol is right about the activity, Alex I feel like you're panicking for no reason. GalaxyGUI is a place where people wanna be and a lot of people know us here as a quality community. A drastic change like this would probably hurt both forums than help at this point. As I'm typing I'm thinking and I'm saying now, It might be a more feasible possibility in the future, but at this moment I don't agree with this idea. People love GGUI and I know people are gonna love iCMM, so in the future I can see them possibly doing great things together.

ya Chekkz, they were talking bout selling the domain and changing the name of this and going make w/ a small subforum for windows, i mean i lik the idea but dun totally scrap windows b/c i am a mac user, but also a Vista user so the windows is very helpful to me, like they've said, make to subforums. so on home page do the main intro part, then a part for mac then 1 for windows and then u seperate the releases. im pretty sure it's not hard and will make the forum even more cleaned up

Interesting opinions. As I read this now, I'm probably not going to do the combination of GGUI into iCMM. However, I do feel Galaxy GUI is a bit uninviting to mac users at this point as a handful of our content focuses on windows.
Look for some changes around here in the next couple of days, more specifically an equal focus on both mac and windows to have the best of both.
If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me. I'll also post more updates once me and the staff collaborate on how to make this place more mac focused as well.
