So I had an idea about using the apple iPod dock as a proper dock on the desktop.
I whipped up a few ideas such as this:

Its quite basic at the moment, but I can assure you, I'll be working on it when I can. I hope this brings a whole new type of docks, where the icons look as though they are docked, and sitting in the dock...
any opinions? Do you think its even worth it? Do you like it? Do you hate it?

cheers peeps, I know the preview atm is looking pants, but it was done in paint. As soon as I get home, ill have access to photoshop and I'll really let my innovations loose

At the moment, I've managed to scrape by the icons by using 48x48, but even then, the icons need to be smaller then that, for reflections and cut offs etc. More shall be explained in detail soon, so you can start making your own/modding/improving on my poor efforts to make a slightly new style of docks

I hope to spawn a whole new style of docks, with groves in them, so that icons are actually 'sat' inside, I think it'd be well cool to see what other people come up with. Especially that AluCurved3D dock, a lot of possibilities there...

I shall be releaseing it soon, although I will only release so many icons with it, but there will be a template so you can make your own...
